-Piglet has been in a bad mood pretty much all day. Having a cold doesn't help either.
-Almost missed her dr's
appt. due to being so tired I kept forgetting to check what time it was.
-The house is a wreck and I'm pretty sure there are about 5 loads of laundry that need to get done.
-I almost died when I was changing Piglet's diaper (which was a whole other "one of those days" moments) and suddenly heard the beeper from the house door opening, Greg wasn't supposed to be home for another few hours. So like any normal person would do, I creep into the kitchen and grab a butcher knife then I begin to look around the house all while contemplating what I'm going to do if there actually is someone in the house. I get to the washroom and the door leading to the garage is open just a little bit. I then remembered that I forgot to close it all the way after getting home from the dr because Piglet had fallen asleep in her car seat and I was trying to be ever so quiet so as not to wake her. Still, I was slighty terrified for the next few hours.
-I went to prep dinner (salmon, rice and salad) only to discover that the salmon has bones in it. I have no clue how to debone a fish. So by the time I (hopefully) got all of the bones out, the fish looks like it may have been killed twice, and then maybe even a third time.
But, there are some big pluses to this day as well.
-Piglet has finally gained some weight, the little chunk went from 11lbs to 13lbs in one month!
-I was able to get a workout in this afternoon.
-I finally showered in who knows how many days, who cares if it took two tries before I was actually in the shower (!) and forget about having time to shave my legs. That's a lost cause.
-I got to eat a healthy lunch sitting down (it's the little things in life, people).
-And I somehow managed to actually get the bathroom and part of our bedroom organized.
So, this day may not have been ideal but then, while doing the dishes, I look over and see little Piglet dozing off while cuddle up on the couch with her Dad. It's moments like this that make it all worth it. Even the fish bones.
